**Resume Writing

Need a Resume? Who doesn’t?  Use the Microsoft Office Online template and select one of over 30 (and growing) resume designs. Students then begin entering their own information into the form. Resume Writing 2 continues what was done earlier in Resume Writing 1, finishing the information and helping solve issues of formatting. Also topics of interviewing, emailing, online job searching, and writing are touched upon as they relate to writing a resume. It is required to have done Resume Writing 1 OR have a electronic copy of your resume to do Resume Writing 2. Also, we recommend having a short list of all your employers with contact info as well as references.  Think about bringing a list.

**Internet Job Searching

Go over a few online job sites as well as set up a profile on monster.com. You will also review how to look for work on monster and tips for success when job hunting. Please note that this class requires an email account of some sort. A resume will not be made in this class. If you bring your resume in an electronic form to this class it can be entered to make your profile complete. Also we reserve the right to switch from monster.com to any equally as good web site at our discretion.

**Email Basics

Sign up with an account through a popular free web-based email program. Learn how to check an email and also how to write an email. In Email Basics 2 continue to learn  Yahoo! Email. Please note Email Basics 2 requires having been at Email Basics 1 OR having a Yahoo! email account already.  The free email provider may be changed from Yahoo! to an equal email provider at any time.
